Easter

Just wanted to send an Easter greeting!

My heart is more alive concering the importance of why we celebrate! Most of my life it has just been this cool time of the year when i get a week break and a basket with chocolate and some spending money that was probably used in some way, shape or form to bring glory to myself & certainly not the glory of the risen Christ!

In another way I have associated this weekend with the death of my earthly father whom died 7 years ago on Good Friday! Not that I am not thinking of this is some manner, but, in reality this is the first time I have ever really observed Easter in less of a traditional sense and in more of an observation of the glory of the death & resurrection of this man Jesus Christ.

There is much bickering going on within the body of Christ concerning His:

Incarnation
Death
Resurrection

Much anger in what these actually did and how we are to appropriate our lives stands large between different streams of the body!

My hope for the reader is that much wrestling in scripture and in prayer with the Man Himself will be added to whatever doctrine one has heard.

My intent here is not to teach anything, but instead, I want to lay out a few things for the reader to take before God!

1. Incarnation (It's vital that we have a right view of God becoming a man)
2.Death (It's vital that we understand why Jesus had to die & what His death actually accomplished)
3. Resurrection (It's vital that we know and understand Him as the rison One! And what does this mean for us as Christians?!)

1 John 2:18-27 is a massive set of passages to start with!

Today many streams are denying His Incarnation; many are denying His death or in many cases they are numbing its importance (ex. some say that God could not be Holy to punish His Son for our sins. They call it a form of cosmic child abuse); And there are even some streams denying His resurrection and or the importance of it.

My final thought on the matter is that if God did not become a man and die on the Cross (receiving the full wrath of God in my stead) and has not risen from the dead than my hope is in vain. We preach Christ crucified and risen from the dead and it becomes a stumbling block and foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is the glory in which we as followers of Christ put all of our hope in.

I hope and pray that during this season Jesus would show the power and the glory of the Gospel to many!
