The primary way or method God uses to change His weak and sin filled bride is to nourish and cherish her! "Mike Bickel"
THE PROPHETIC HEART OF THE HEAVENLY BRIDEGROOM( 4:1-8 ).
4:1; Behold, you are fair my love! Behold, your are fair. You have dove’s eyes behind your veil. Your hair is like a flock of goats, going down from Mount Gilead.
Fair: Beautiful.
Dove’s eyes: Purity( Isaiah 17:7 )
Your hair is like a flock of goats: ( 1 Peter 3:3-5 ). Dedication to God. Spiritual covering and submission.
* Again He speaks affirmation over us. BEHOLD, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. Our dedication to seeking the Lord is a sweet aroma before His throne.
4:2; Your teeth are like a flock of shorn sheep which have come up from the washing, everyone of which bears twins, and none is barren among them.
Your teeth: Chewing on the food. Meditating long on the meat of the word of God.(1 Corinthians 3:1-3)
Shorn sheep: Speaks of our fleshly zeal.
Washed: Cleansed, made pure(John 13:10). Washed white with the blood of the Lamb( Ephesians 5:26).
Bears twins…..none were barren: Diligence in the word. Fruitfulness of the word(1 Timothy 4:6-16).
* A mandate, also a guide in to the path of righteousness. He is assuring us that He see’s ours of studying the word. He is giving us affirmation that the word does really wash us white as snow, if we really take heed to the calling of the word. The more we study, the more we chew on the word of God, this will cause us to know Him more. (Joel 2:12-17)
4:3; Your lips are like a strand of scarlet, and your mouth is lovely. Your temples behind your veil are like a piece of pomegranate.
Your lips: Verbal communication that is influenced by redemption.
Scarlet: Coming redemption by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 4:29; Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
Your mouth: Communion with Jesus. Intimacy with God.
Your temples: Cheeks or emotions. Imparted by the grace of God.
Veil: Her hidden life in God.
Pomegranate: (Sweet Fruit) Our emotions are sweet to God.
* Our verbal communication with God is super important. He is the one and only thing that can cause us to bridal our tongue…E.T.C. Our emotions were given to us by God. He loves our emotions toward Him, they are a sweet fragrance to Him. So we must always be in communion with the Lord our God.
4:4; Your neck is like the tower of David. Built for an armory. On which hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.
Neck: Free will
Tower of David: Strength
A thousand bucklers: An abundant defense and mass protection from the enemy.
Shield: (Ephesians 6:16) Put it on!
* We have free will. Yet this is what we have chosen(Philippians 3:7-11). Psalms 27:4; The one thing, to spend our days seeking the wisdom of God over the wisdom of man. He see’s us as strong! Take up the Ephesians 6 creed and declare war against your flesh.
4:5; Your two breast are like two fawns. Twins of a gazelle. Which feed among the lilies.
Your two breast are like two fawns: Power to edify and to mature others.
Which feed among the lilies: Pure. Producing fruit that can only be gained by seeking for the Lord as silver and gold(Matthew 25).
* We desperately need a revelation of the Lord’s affirmation over us. That way we can learn to walk in purity. So that, we may rightly edify the church. Lord open our hearts!!!
4:6; Until the day breaks, until the shadows flee away. I will go my way to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.
Day: Victory
Shadows: Grey area’s of weakness.
I will go: Embracing a life of carrying the cross of Christ.
Mountains: Obstacles that hinder us from faith and obedience.
Myrrh: Burial spice. Expensive.
Frankincense: Our prayer life is a sweet fragrance to the Lord.
* She is declaring the victory of the cross in her life. She acknowledges the grey area’s of sin in her life. But, she is embracing a lifestyle of prayer and fasting. We must press in to prayer and in to the word of God so that we can defeat the sin and carnality of our flesh. We must believe with all of our hearts that our prayers are sweet to the Lord(Revelation 5:8).
4:7; You are all fair my love. And there is no spot in you.
* Time and time again the Lord speaks love and affirmation to His bride. Through the finished work of the cross we are spotless. We need this revelation to overcome sin and shame.
4:8; Come with Me from Lebanon my spouse. With Me from Lebanon. Look from the top of Amana, from the top of Senir and Hermon. From the lion dens. From the mountains of the leopards.
Come with Me: A calling to intimacy and partnership(Joel 2:12-17).
My spouse: 1st time He calls her wife. She is growing in maturity with the Lord. Becoming equally yoked.
From Lebanon: Dangerous, but beautiful.
Look from the top: Heavens perspective.
Amana…Hermon…Senir: Seated in heavenly places.
Lions: Spiritual warfare.
* Through the hardships and obstacles of life we will be healed little by little(Psalms 138:8, Philippians 1:6). From heavens perspective, we have been seated with Christ, above all the angels. Jesus is calling us out of the dangerous places, even if we think they are beautiful to behold. Jesus is calling us to fight through in the Spirit that dwells inside of us, so that we might walk in to maturity and become equally yoked with the Son of God. We are the bride of Christ, and we need to come to this revelation and embrace it with open arms(Revelation 22:17).

SONG OF SONGS: A Safe Savior! 3:6-11
A SAFE SAVIOR
( 3:6-11 )
3:6; Who is this coming out of the wilderness. Like pillars of smoke. Perfumed with myrrh and frankincense. With all the merchants fragrant powders?
Who is this coming out: The ascension of Jesus after His incarnation and crucifixion. He is being presented through the Holy Spirit as assurance to the young bride.
Wilderness: Living in a falling age. Difficult times of intense testing. Flesh and sin wage war. Spiritual warfare satan and the Spirit ( 2 Corinthians 10:4 ).
Myrrh: It meant death; Used as a burial spice. Christ sufferings!
Frankincense: Our prayer life. What we say is a sweet aroma to the Lord (Revelation 5:8)! Jesus is the great intercessor ( Hebrews 7:25 ).
Pillars of smoke: The glory and wonder of God! ( Isaiah 6:1-4; Ezekiel 1; Revelation 4&5 )
Merchants: Jesus is the merchant who saw the pearl and sold all to have it. The pearl is the bride, which cost Him everything. The cross was the only ay to obtain her! ( Hebrews 4:14-16 ), ( Matthew 13:44 ).
Fragrant powders: The sweetness of Jesus.
* Jesus is the perfect sacrifice. There is no other who can grant us eternal life ( John 6:54; Romans 6:24; 1 Timothy 6:12 ). The glory of God is shown to us to not only affirm His love over us but also to bring us into a state of being awe struck, left longing for more of the eternal God-head. This type of action usually comes when we are persevering through wilderness seasons ( Matthew 26:41 ). Jesus intercedes for us ( Hebrews 7:25 ), but the flesh is weak. Galatians 5:16-26: The Spirit is in constant battle with our flesh and carnality ( Romans 8:6 ). Hebrews 10:19-25; So walk in the Spirit and put off the body of death and carnality, put on the armor of everlasting life ( Ephesians 6:10-20 ). Hebrews 2:11; He feels our pain and knows our sufferings because He lived, as well He rose out of the wilderness without a spot or blemish!
3:7; Behold, it is Solomon’s couch. With sixty valiant men around it, of the valiant of Israel.
Couch: Finished work of the cross!
Valiant of Israel: Loyal
Sixty valiant men: Holy Spirit guarding us.
* Because of the finished work of the cross and only the finished work of the cross we are seated next to Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit will always guard us. He will never leave nor forsake us. He is forever faithful, the only one good. Loyal in all area’s.
3:8; They all hold swords. Being experts in war. Every man has his sword on his thigh. Because of fear in the night.
Being experts in war: Mature warriors; The Lords protection over us is very passionate. ( Ephesians 6:10-20 )
* A continuation of 3:7, it is the privilege of every believer to receive the protection of the Lord. Practicing Joel 2:12-17 is a necessity, who knows if the Lord will relent and leave His blessing? ( Psalms 45:3-5 ).
3:9; Of the wood of Lebanon, Solomon the king made himself a palanquin.
Wood: Humility; God became a man.
Lebanon: Strongest wood available, you couldn’t find stronger wood in all of Israel.
Palanquin: A portable enclosed chair: The Lords divine protection over us.
* In humility, Jesus became the propitiation for all men. Through this He is clothed in strength and in righteousness. He is now able to send the Holy Spirit to help us, guide and protect us. There is no greater or lesser god who can do this.
3:10; He made its pillars of silver, its support of gold, its seat of purple, its interior paved with love by the daughters of Jerusalem.
Silver: Redemption.
Gold: God’s divine character. The divinity of Christ. Authority.
Purple: Royalty
The interior paved with love: Songs 8:6; Love is strong as death, jealousy as cruel as the grave. Many waters cannot quench love.
Daughters of Jerusalem: Immature believers.
* The Lord’s love is so much more than we know or even have the capacity to understand. His heart truly is an all consuming fire. Job 36:26; Behold God is great and we do not know Him. I believe this is one of the key verses in the bible relating to the problem with the church today, with all our seminaries and bible schools we have allot of people who think they know God, but in reality none of really understand this vas character of the God-man Jesus Christ. Read Proverbs chapters 1-3 for instructions. We are suffering from the lack of the true and Holy knowledge of God in this generation. We need a revelation of the true fear of the Lord! My prayer is that we as the church would walk into this with open hearts that we may be transformed to the likeness of Christ Jesus.
* His divine character. His longing to redeem us. His perpetual desire to clothe us in royalty as He is. There is much more to this thing than I can imagine. Ephesians 5:29; For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church……… He will come redeem her!!!
3:11; Go forth, O daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon with his crown, with which his mother crowned him. On the day of his wedding, the day of gladness of his heart.
Go forth: Exhortation to the church.
Crown: Isaiah 62:3; You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, a royal diadem. In the hand of your God.
Mother: Church; Revelation chapter 12; Galatians 4:26.
Crowned: He is King. Revelation 19:1-10
On the day of His wedding: Wedding supper of the Lamb. Revelation 19:9; Matthew 22:1-14.
The day of gladness of His heart: The second coming of the Christ!!! (Revelation 11:15-19), ( Matthew 24:27-31 ), ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 ).
* He is calling us( Joel 2:12-17; Hebrews 10:11-25 ), He is charging us to come after Him. The church needs to awake from her sleep. Again, the Lord is the only propitiation. The only mediator between God and man( Romans 3:25; Hebrews 2:17; 1 John 2:2; 1 John 4:10 ). He is the King of kings, He has been crowned with power, glory and honor. Jesus is the only one good, full of righteousness and walking in Holiness( Revelation 5:1-7 ). We need a deep revelation of the Holiness of our Lord. The priest in the old testament had a rope tied around their waist before they entered in to the Holy of Holies. Because if they were not fully atoned for their sin before entering the room they would die. The rope was so the ones on the outside could pull the body out of the room without them dieing as well. God hates sin with a perfect hatred. He is a Holy God who loves things done from righteousness. Let us take joy in our God, He longs for the day when He can come and claim His bride (us) for His own. His heart burns for us even now!!!
( 3:6-11 )

UPDATE: FEBRUARY 2008
Hello everyone. Just wanted to put out a quick update.
February has been quite the month. I have been working allot. The door has been opened for allot of wonderful co-workers to hear the gospel, most are professed atheist. Be mind full to keep Tauranga subway in your prayers. THANK YOU!!! Specifically in the area of offense!
For myself, I am in more of a place of relying only in the goodness of God than I have ever been before. I am weak, yet strong through this wonderful faith and promise of redemption(Psalm 138:8). I have had two separate well seasoned men in the faith tell me the same word. The first back in September 2007, and again in January 2008, this one as a direct confirmation, not that we need it but that the Lord is relentless in His pursuit to capture our attention. The word simply that this is a season of intense healing and revelation of His heart through that healing. I am believing firmly for the Lord to set my heart at ease in the next six months over the pressing issue of the passing of my brother! A very wise man recently told me that it is alright to grieve, it is of the Spirit of God to grieve, the Lord created this emotion and wants us to bring our grieving to Him that we may be healed. But as well over grieving can be in a negative spirit and lead us to put our dependency in something not of the Lord! So in essence I'm am asking for your prayers over the next six months. That the Lord, out of His abundant mercies would restore to me what has been damaged. And that out of this i would grow closer and stronger in the Lord.
I am openly revealing to you all that I am an utter mess. Partly of the Spirit, and partly not of the Spirit. I can feel the immense love of God in ways that i have not felt before. hearing His word in ways I have not allowed myself to hear before. My heart is very tender, I feel weak and broken. On the flip side to this, because of my heart being broken, everything is affecting me.
I recently had a dream and the point of the dream was clear. I am a mighty man of valor, yet i have no shield girded to protect me. In the dream I am dominating the opposition, yet in the end i am struck down. It is clear that I must learn to carry my shield at all cost!
We all need to plead for the mercy seat over our lives as well as for all others( Leviticus Chapter 16 ). I have been studying Song of Songs for a little over a year now. I am convinced that we are so far away from really knowing the width, length, depth and height of the unsearchable and unrelenting love of Jesus Christ. I don't how this makes others feel, but for the first time in my walk i am utterly terrified that i do not know Jesus as i ought.
The greatest shaking the earth has ever known is getting ready to manifest on the earth! Read Luke chapter 21 again, and then meditate on 21:35. We need a deep revelation of the fear of the Lord(Proverbs chapter 2)! I pray fervently for Ephesians 1:17-19 to be a literal reality for us! Jesus said we would carry out greater exploits than the ones we read about. We literally have the same Spirit dwelling on the inside of us, burning for us to walk in the authority of the God-man! I don't know about you but i am sick and tired of letting myself get in the way of what God wants to do in my heart and in my life. I am humbly requesting that many of you would set some time to lift me up in prayer. I am telling you now that i have put each of you in prayer consistently. The Lord is keeping me awake during the night season again. I am committed to each of you in prayer.
Charles G Finney was an arrogant prideful lawyer. In one moment He was utterly captivated and sold out to the Gospel! Finney let it change everything. I am not sure how long it took him to heal his heart after his conversion. But i do know that within one day people were getting saved because of the transformation. And in one year just about every where Finney went revival was breaking out. The reason was because the dedication to prayer, fasting and than carrying out a life that was asked of the Lord! He put God in front of everything, money, clothes, housing, wife,food.....etc........ The Lord ultimately provided all these things because the Lord longs to give good gifts to His children. The fruit of Finney's labouring saw 1 million souls come in to the salvation of the cross of Christ!
I know that the Lord has different callings for all of us. But my heart tonight at 3am is that what ever you think your calling is, DO IT UNTO THE LORD!!!! The Lord wants to redeem all area's of life, the market place, the mission field, the priestly calling, the pulpit....etc......
We all need healing of one thing or another. Some of us have pushed it to the side and i believe that we are hindering ourselves from growing in God by doing so.
I don't know where I would be if the Lord had not kindly saved me. Probably in a gutter somewhere. It's irrelevant at the moment. I know where God has me in this season. It hurts to acknowledge it, to face my issues is like falling off a cliff. There is no way around that if i fell off a cliff I would badly hurt. Yet what doesn't kill me has only made me stronger!
So in all of this. I am yet again, humbly calling you all in to a prayer life so that we may all conquer the pain that is holding us back because we are afraid to face it.
Be blessed. For real! Blessings to you in the Lord! I love you all so much. And I deeply thank the Lord for brothers and sisters like you.
