Song Of Songs: Written By King Solomon. Son Of King David.
Chapters 1-4: The Brides Inheritance In Jesus.
Chapters 5-8: Jesus' Inheritance In The Bride.
Isaiah 55:6-9; Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord. And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
I believe we are living in a very key generation. I believe the Lord is going to show and do quite a lot before it passes. We also have the privilege of being in a generation that could usher in the second coming of the Lord. The Lord is in this hour raising up men and women all across the earth into night and day prayer. He is gathering to Himself a group of lovesick worshippers who embody the calling of Joel 2. Hearts burdened for the righteousness of the Lord to be brought forth. Sickened by the morality of the world they go constantly into the chambers of the Lord (psalms 27:4).
Holiness:Separation; Distinction; Uniqueness; God's Holiness speaks of something unique and totally other than anything else that we know.
I believe that this is the calling of the church. To long, and yes even yearn for the affections of the God-man Jesus. To walk in holiness! I believe the book of Song Of Songs is given to us as a model of the pursuit of the love of Jesus. Alongside with the book of Joel; Joel gives us an outline on how we can come enter into the lifestyle of prayer. Song Of Songs teaches us how to fall in love, as well how to maintain so that we can have enjoyable prayer that sustains through the years.
Quick thought: I do not believe that you can properly study the end time message without the message of the Song Of Songs burning on your heart. So with all thy getting, get a foundation that is rooted and grounded in the knowledge of God; So that your heart is burning and alive (Ephesians 1:17-19; Ephesians 3:16-19).
Allegory: A representation of an abstract or spiritual meaning through concrete or material forms; Figurative treatment of one subject under the guise of another. ( A Symbolical Narrative). This study will be viewed from an allegorical lens.
I want everyone to know that i first struggled with this book. I had three different teachers present it to me and by the third time i was bored and wishing i could learn something else. In January of 2006 the Lord convicted me of my lack of excitement toward it. The Lord basically told me that even though i thought i knew the book, i didn't know the book where it counts; In my heart! So for over a year now i have studied this book. I still really have very little understanding and will continue to update this study as i go along.
*Four reasons why we are lovely to God.
1. The finish work of the Cross.
2. New Spirit at new birth.
3. The nature of God's person.
4. We are His Son's future bride
