Christmas!

Another Christmas is upon us. It marks the 1st one to pass without my little brother nick! My heart is sad, yet at the same time my heart is filled with the joy of the Lord in this season. In 2 1/2 weeks I will be traveling back to New Zealand, to join a community of fellow brothers and sisters who are pressing in to seek out the knowledge of God and the obsessive love of Jesus Christ through intercession and living a Matthew 5 life style to the best of their abilities.

THOUGHTS: I love Christmas! I have seen so many loved ones and even a few that its been to long. I love peoples smiles and happiness. Even in a time when it is reserved for Christ Jesus but is so less regarded He seems to still release joy into people. But at the same time i see the awareness for the necessity of the true joy of the Lord that is missing from most of the people i come across. This joy can only be attained be those in deep fellowship with their Lord and maker through a prayer and fasted lifestyle. Which seems completely irrelevant to a lot of the Christians I talk to. In a year of ups and downs for me i still stand here with the convincing factor of the importance of the obsession of the heart of God to be in all our hearts.

I am reminded of this scripture daily. Psalm 27:4( One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.) So with that my heart cries for this to be the real cry of my heart. The Gospel is blood, sweat and tears. To think i would have ever longed for this to be my hearts cry is amazing. So with this in mind this is my prayer this late hour, that the affections of the Lord may captivate your souls this Christmas, some how some way that He would open all our hearts so that we might spend a few hours on our knee's longing for His truth. This is all that matters, deep affection saturated in our being.

The prophet Ezekiel in chapter one was given a vision of 4 living creatures who worship and give glory and honor before the throne of God both night and day. Than later in revelation chapter 4 the apostle John is shown the same setting as Ezekiel. Revelation 4:8-11 (The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!" Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.")

So these Creatures created by God worship Him both night and day. This is what we were created for. This is why Jesus died for us, He wants and even longs for our affections to be toward Him. Yeah, He is our gift, but, WE ARE HIS GIFT. He could of asked the Father for anything and He said Father i want them, they are who i long for, I'm not worried about the stars or the mountains. I LONG FOR A BRIDE. This is why we were created. To fall in love with Jesus. I am so overtaken by this reality.

IMPORTANT ISSUE AT HAND: Just a few more words on the importance of the future of this nation. Everyone needs to prayer, as well everyone who hasn't registered to vote needs to get it done, everyone needs to vote on the next president. whether you care or not this is the most important issue at hand! The future of this nation is at a critical point in history. The Lord was crying out for the blood of slavery and a man named Abraham Lincoln gave his life to respond to that calling. Now we face the bloodshed of 50 million aborted babies. The Lord is calling for an end to this crisis. Your prayers are important, your vote needs to be in the ballet. Personally i am choosing Mike Huckabee after resent study of him. How long will the Lord wait until He responds to this very important issue. We need to end abortion, this countries future relies on it.
