JESUS PRAISES HER AFTER HER SEASON OF TESTING.
(6:4-10)


6:4; O My love, you are as beautiful as Tirzah, lovely as Jerusalem. Awesome as an army with banners.

O My love: First words spoken by Jesus since verse 5:1. Captivating.

Tirzah: Capital of the northern kingdom. Meaning beautiful.

Army with banners: Victorious army; She has come out of a season of testing in victory.

* I love that the Lord is absolutely obsessed with me. If He wasn’t than falling in love with Him would be impossible. But because the Lord is fully in love with us He is dedicated to us and faithful to us to the utter most. He will not leave us nor forsake us.

* The Lord again compares us to cities, being very beautiful. I think He does this mainly because huge well designed cities captivate our imagination, so giving us context to the way He feels about us, yet He see’s as more beautiful than any city or landscape. The Lord is with us even when we feel like He is somewhere else. During seasons of testing He will often remove His manifest presence, this is to cause our hearts to burn for fervent passion for His presence, to cause us pursue Him more, to press in deeper. Seasons of trial and testing are good, so to the best of our ability we need to embrace the truths of God and His perfect and faithfulness over our lives.


6:5; Turn your eyes away from Me. For they have overcome Me. Your hair is like a flock of goats, going down from Gilead.

Turn your eyes away from Me: Jesus is overwhelmed by her devotion during seasons of trial and testing.

Hair: Devotion to God; Dedication.

Goats: Dedication to ministry.

* Jesus is again, and will consistently breath affirmation over us. He is this overwhelmed and obsessed with the affections of men and women who openly love Him. Because He is openly excited by our devotion toward Him. His eyes are like fire that can consume a mighty army, and our devotion fuels that fire. Again, we need to embrace trials and testing, seasons of pain and venom create firm foundations that will give us the ability to purge through the fire of the spirit of this age. When we fully embrace the love of God during these seasons it ravishes the very Creators heart. We need a deep burning revelation of what our affections toward God actually do to His heart, He created the heart, He created emotions, He longs to share them with us. Especially when we can’t feel His manifest presence.


6:6; Your teeth are like a flock of sheep, which have come up from the washing. Everyone bears twins, and none is barren among them.

Teeth: The ability to chew; Maturity( Hebrews 5:12-14).

Washing: Freedom from fleshly things. Pure, white( Ephesians 5:26-27).

Twins: Abundant fruitfulness( John 15:7-8).

None is barren: Spiritual fruitfulness

* Colossians 3:1-3; When we embrace the "seeking first the kingdom" mentality, not only will we have the blessing by actually growing in God, all things will be given out of it( love, restoration, knowledge, resurrection…etc…). The Lord see’s this and is utterly moved to the core of His being. He rewards our fruitfulness. And funny enough He provides that fruitfulness, so therefore He rewards us for using what He has provided, and out of it comes pleasure and reward here and now as well as in eternity.

* Embracing this reality will wash us white, cleanse and purify our spirits from fleshly desires. Seeking God through pain and suffering matures us and gives to us the ability to grow closer and stronger to the Lord.


6:7; Like a piece of pomegranate, are your temples behind your veil.

Pomegranate: Sweet red fruit; Her emotions are sweet to God. But she is sensitive to shame; Blushing.

Temples: Emotions; Godly countenance.

Behind your veil: Hidden life in God

* Our emotions are sweet to God. He created us to feel and experience our emotions with Him. He longs for us to share in this intimacy with Him, to go deep into the realm of His width, length, depth and heights of His all pleasuring love. Make no mistake, do not buy into the lie that says He is stoic, at a distance. He hears our prayers as we cry out to Him, so cry out to Him and He will come. He will reward us openly for the things we have done in His honor and to the glory of His name. We need to drink deeply from the wells of God. ( Ephesians 3:16-19 ).


6:8; There are sixty queens and eighty concubines. And virgins without number.

* He is comparing the court’s of earthly kings of that day to give us a revelation of His love for us. King Solomon had like 700 wives, not to mention the number of concubines. Our relations toward each other are flawed, our minds are unredeemed and totally fallen. We need this revelation, the Lord is ravished and captivated by us, we are the bride of Christ. The apple of His eye. We will inherit the earth alongside the King of all ages, in His glory. ( Revelation 22:17 "the Spirit and the bride say come" ).


6:9; My dove, My perfect one is the only one. The only one of her mother. The favorite one of the one whom bore her. The daughters saw her and called her blessed, the queens and the concubines. And they praised her.

Dove: Purity; Innocence.

Perfect: Mature ( Ephesians 4:12-16 ).

Is the only one: No competition. Eyes for her alone.

The favorite one: Hebrews 2:16; For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but however, He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. We will even take part in the judgment of angels ( 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 ).

* He calls us perfect and beautiful. We are favored over all the heavenly realms. Over ranks and host. We are set apart.

* We have two functions:

1. Mother; Global church
2. The bride; As one globally.

When the church comes together globally the bride becomes one. Walking in one accord before the Lord, Holy and spotless through the cleansing of the blood of the Lamb that is risen. My belief is that the earth will undergo global crisis, and the church will be here and not taken out. This will cause the church to rely fully in God and they will be purged before the great and terrible day of the Lord. Jesus will come back to collect a pure and spotless bride.


6:10; Who is she who looks forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun. Awesome as an army with banners?

Who looks forth as the morning: Her personal victory in the Lord ( Proverbs 4:18).

Fair as the moon, clear as the sun: Light to a fallen world.

Army with banners: Celebration of the victory from battle and conflict.

* Who is she is a rhetorical question, He knows who she is and that she could overcome and obtain victory because He went ahead of her and made the way into freedom. But He can’t help but to be stunned by her to devotion and character to obtain the victory. We have every reason to celebrate these victories and to give glory to God . Also out of this revelation she now has a stronger revelation and reason to grip hold of the faithful and sovereign leadership of Jesus. It brings maturity and faith into her, and gives faith and encouragement to other believers to walk out this pursuit. We are a light to a fallen world because we radiate God through our lifestyle. He is overwhelmed by our victories in the faith ( Philippians 2:15).
